Attention to Our Students Who Want to Work Part-Time at Our Vocational School
For the 2019 - 2020 Academic Year, Part-Time Student Quotas have been determined by the University "Executive Board" and applications have started for our students who want to work part-time at our Vocational School.
Our students can make their applications between 20 - 27 September until the end of working hours (until 17:30) from computers that are active within the network system of our University.
Interviews of students who have completed their online applications will be held on Tuesday, 01 October 2019 at 15:30 in the Vocational School Secretariat room. Units Where Students Will Be Employed: Cafeteria (3 students), Gym (1 student), Computer Laboratory (1 student)

Conditions to be sought in students to be employed part-time
ARTICLE 6- (1) Students who are given scholarships by the Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution or who meet the conditions for receiving scholarships can be employed in temporary jobs as part-time students in higher education institutions, provided that priority is given to them.
a) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Being a registered student who has paid the tuition fee (II. Education) at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, except for non-thesis master's and special students.
b) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Not being a student who has frozen registration or a foreign student.
c) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Studying within the normal education period.
d) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Not having received a disciplinary penalty. (It will be documented by the units to be employed)
e) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Having the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job to be employed.
f) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Not having an income at the minimum wage level except for orphan's pension and alimony. (If the student's own income is below the minimum wage, they can be employed)
g) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Not having their contract terminated due to a violation of the contract made between the student employed part-time in previous periods and our University.
h) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Those who lose the above conditions are reported to the Directorate.
(2) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Students who document that they have been harmed by natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and those who are first-degree relatives of martyrs and veterans, and students with special needs are given priority.
(3) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) Students with special needs (those who document with a health board report that they are 40% or more disabled) will be evaluated primarily by the units if they apply.
(4) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) The ratio of graduate students with theses and doctoral students to be employed in the units is determined not to exceed 1% of the general quota.
(5) (Amended: MAKÜ-26/06/2013-188/4) The evaluation and discretion of the relevant unit manager are essential in the continuity of the student's work.
