Management Information Systems

Management Information Systems is an interdisciplinary field that includes business and information topics. In today's business world, effective and efficient decision-making processes have been established in all institutions and businesses with information systems. Technological developments have led to the emergence of new sectors related to technology. Along with this, changes have occurred in all sectors and professions in business life. Due to these changes and developments in technology, adaptation to technology has become a prerequisite for success for businesses. Therefore, there has been a need for personnel who have knowledge of both business management and technology. It is desired that individuals in the management levels of businesses are those who can access information and carry out their duties based on technology, in this sense, those who can create and operate management information systems. Although there has been an increasing demand for individuals who have studied Management Information Systems in recent years, the number of such individuals in Turkey is currently quite low. For this reason, our graduates have quite a lot of job opportunities.

The main aim of the Management Information Systems Department is to train human resources at a level that can meet the changing needs of the business world in the 21st century, who can apply the information obtained through computer systems to the functions and problem-solving in the fields of business and management. Another important aim is to train experts in human and organization management with the courses given in the fields of management and organizational psychology within the department. In addition to basic knowledge in the field of software, students are also trained in topics such as artificial intelligence, data mining, and image processing. Education is provided in a manner that will adapt to today's technological developments.
